Ms. Adeline Margaret Teske 97 of Keystone Heights

Adeline Margaret Teske Keystone, FL – Passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, Adeline Margaret Teske, 97. Adeline was born in Watseka, Illinois August 12, 1924. She graduated from Cissna Park High School in 1942. During World War II, Ms. Teske was a pilot for the Civil Air Patrol in the Chicago area and flew an observation plane around southern Lake Michigan. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Illinois State University and her Master’s Degree from Northwestern University. Ms. Teske became an adherent of the Baha’i Faith in Evanston, Illinois, later traveling extensively in Venezuela as an international Baha’i teacher, residing there for more than six decades, and serving for a period in the 1960s on the national governing body of the Baha’is of Venezuela. She taught in Illinois and Venezuela for over sixty years, teaching subjects from English, science and history, to all levels of mathematics. She retired from teaching in 2015 at the age of 91. Ms. Teske is survived by her younger brother Edgar Teske and eight nephews and nieces and their families. A graveside ceremony was held on Tuesday, April 19. 2022 at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida.
