Mrs. Barbara Ann Cane 79 of Keystone Heights

Mrs. Barbara Ann Cane 79 of Keystone Heights passed away at her home Wednesday, May 11, 2022, with her family at her side. She was born December 5, 1942, in New Berlin, New York to Burney and Elizabeth Ann (Hill) Dye. Mrs. Cane was employed with Clay County Schools for 20 years as a bus driver and monitor before retirement. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Starke and enjoyed sewing, garage sales and square dancing. Mrs. Cane was also a member of T.O.P.S. and was active with the Save Our Lakes organization in Keystone Heights. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Alexis. Survivors are her three daughters Connie Collins and Kathy Haefeker both of Keystone Heights and Julie Walker of Colorado along with two brothers Russell Dye of Gainesville and Burney Dye, Jr. of New York. She was lovingly called “Grandma” and “Memaw” by granddaughters Maryia, Kimberly, Elizabeth, Daniele and Katlyn along with great grandchildren Alexander, Alley, Michael, William, James, Jr., Zachary, Kenneth, Chloe, Layla, Matthew and Jayden. A memorial service for Mrs. Cane will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Findley officiating.
