Mrs. Dana Lynn Corson, age 54, of Lake Butler passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville following an extended illness. She was born on September 6th, 1967 in Mears, Virginia and graduated from Arcadia High School, Virginia. After graduation she moved to Starke Florida in 1988 and later resided in Lake Butler for the last 20 years, working for the State of Florida for many of those years. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a homemaker. Dana always had a happy smile and a unique laugh that always made you feel comfortable being around her. She loved to cook and decorate for the holidays, take care of animals (a lot), and help her niece (Sissy) take care of her three children. Preceding her in death was her mother, Frances Darlene (Stevens) Lafferty of Virginia and her sister Nova Clyatt (Lafferty). Survivors are: her father, Grover Lee Lafferty Jr., children, Keith Corson of Starke and Vance Paladino of Lake Butler, siblings, Roy Lafferty, Bill Lafferty, G.L Lafferty of Virginia, niece, Arica Brown and her children, Drayton, Dalen, and Aylah of Lake Butler, and nephews, Adam Adkins and Aaron Adkins of Lake Butler.
