Chief Petty Officer, Glenn Wilson Fox, aka ”Chief”, Hubby, Daddy, Da, Brother Fox, Grandaddy, DoDo, Uncle Glenn, Uncle Pop and friend, 93, longtime resident of Keystone Heights, FL woke up in the presence of His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at UF Health, Gainesville FL. He was born in Caldwell County, Lenoir, NC July 25, 1927 to Hattie Eller and Jacob Wesley Fox. He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Nolan Fox, Finley Fox, Ruth (Fox) Lowman, Christine (Fox) Clark, Javan Fox, Hattie Jane (Fox) Arnold. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Nancy (Ellis) Fox; his children Glynese Ronquille (Mike), Kimberly Fox; K.G. Fox (Michelle) grandchildren Kenda Smith, Gavin Ronquille, Elisa Hightower, Ben Hightower, Katie Veal, Amanda Miller, Hannah Poole; Great Grand Children-Kellin Ronquille, Hailee Peoples, Elijah Smith, Gauge Ronquille, Baylie Ronquille, EmmaLee Miller and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. He loved His Lord and his country and he served them both faithfully and equally. He truly exemplified the Good Samaritan as he was no respecter of persons and always wanted everyone to feel valued. He was a war veteran of 3 wars and served under the first frogman and father of the Navy Seals Rear Admiral Draper Kaufman, piloting his barge in both Annapolis, Maryland and Philippines. He served his family, his church (at 93 he still visited “the elderly” in the church), his neighbors, his community as well as any others that needed his help. You may honor him by serving Christ, your Country and others as he did. You may pay your respects at River of Life Church of God, 2225 US-301 South, Starke on Monday, September 28, 2020 from 10-11, service following, Pastor Brian Tillman will officiate. Immediate family are welcome to join at graveside for Interment at Sellers Cemetery, Halsema Road, Jacksonville FL.
