Mr. Lee Sparks

September 30, 1954 - January 14, 2020

Mr. Lee Sparks age 65 of Starke, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Lee was born on September 30, 1954 in Jacksonville and was a lifelong area resident. He was a Bradford High School Graduate of 1972 and the owner/operator of the Florida Twin Theatre in downtown Starke. Lee was the founder of the Downtown Merchants Association, a great community supporter and an avid Florida State Seminoles fan. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Survivors are: his wife, Vicki Barksdale Sparks of Starke, son, Justin Sparks and wife Priscilla along with his granddaughters Mckenna and Monroe all of Starke. Also left are Lee’s parents, Albert “Beno” and Alma Leta Dyal Sparks of Brooker and his brother, David (Shian) Sparks of Brooker. He will also be missed by his mother and father-in-law Robert and Barbara Barksdale, his sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie Sue and James O’Brian all of Starke and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Starke, 163 Jefferson Street on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. with memorial services beginning at 4 o’clock.
