Mrs. Suzanne Walker 75 of Keystone Heights

August 2, 1945 - September 14, 2020

Mrs. Alice “Suzanne” Walker, 75, of Keystone Heights passed away Monday, September 14, 2020, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville. She was born August 2, 1945, in Jacksonville to Fred and Lucille (Coleman) Crotts. Suzanne was a longtime resident of Keystone Heights and retired as a Clerk/Carrier from the US Postal Service. Previously she drove a school bus for Duval and Clay Counties and was a cashier for Winn- Dixie. She grew up in the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and enjoyed crafts, painting, music and singing. Suzanne was also very involved with her children while they were growing up by serving as a PTA president in Jacksonville, a Band Parent Association President for KHHS, and was a coordinator of pop-warner cheerleading in Keystone. Later on, she lived in East Dublin, GA. She had many names such as “Suzie Q”, “Sunshine”, “Aunt Suzie”, “Mama” and “Grandma”. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a sister Pat Simolin. Suzanne is survived by her children, David and Toinia Walker of Dublin, Georgia, and Michelle and KG Fox of Keystone Heights; siblings Judy Haynes of Middleburg and Kenny Crotts of Jacksonville. It was her pride and joy to be the Grandma of Miranda Eberly (Galen), David Walker, Jr. (LeAnne), James Walker (Crystal), Mary Walker, Stephen Walker, Aaron Walker, Sarah Walker, Lawre Walker, Krissy Walker, Amanda Miller (Brandon) and Hannah Poole (Zach) and the Great-Grandma of Connor, Raquelle, Aiden, Colton, Joanna, John Joseph, Jacob, Kaleah, Kaison, Marcus and EmmaLee. She is also survived by her best friend and father of her children, John Walker of Keystone Heights. Suzanne was known for her sense of humor and for never meeting a stranger. Services for Mrs. Walker will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 17, 2020, in the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Robert Smith officiating. Interment will be at Turner Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Enigma, GA. Arrangements are by JONES-GALLAGHER FUNERAL HOME, 340 E. Walker Dr., Keystone Heights, FL 32656.
