Teigan Thomas McLarty

Teigy passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on November 28, 2021 at the age of 8.5. Even though his time with us was so short, he was able to amass so much light and love to make everyone he came in contact with never forget him. He came into this world fast and in the same way he would live, filled with surprises and joy on March 10, 2013 in Jacksonville, Florida. The doctors told his parents, Scott and Denese McLarty that he would be a small child, and he lived his life surprising them all by flourishing in weight and height. If you needed a hug, there was no better place than in his arms. All his hugs were like a warm blanket filled with love. He was always laughing, smiling, and bringing joy to those privileged to know him. His life may have been filled with a few adversities, but he was a strong and determined sweet boy. He attended Mandarin Oaks Elementary School. Besides home, and Nana’s house, school was his favorite place to be. He loved school, light sabers, and Curious George. On most days, he could be found lounging without pants, hugging his pillow and being amused by all the mischievous George antics. Teigy will be forever remembered and loved by his parents Scott and Denese; his siblings Colston and Everly; his six grandparents; his many aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation will begin Saturday December 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. with a Celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m. to be held at the Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home, 620 E.
