Mr. Thomas "Tom" William Osborn age 80 of Keystone Heights

Mr. Thomas “Tom” W. Osborn age 80 of Keystone Heights passed away at his home, Tuesday, April 12, 2022, following a brief illness. He was born September 11, 1941, in Norwalk, Ohio to the late William A. and Vletta C. (Grills) Osborn. Following his high school graduation in 1959 Tom then attended Bowling Green State University of Ohio. In 1961 he enlisted with the United States Navy serving his country until 1965 when he was honorably discharged. Prior to retirement, Mr. Osborn had been employed with AT&T for 25 years as their Communications Technician. Growing up he was active in the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Explorer Scouts. He enjoyed reading, motorcycles and dogs. Mr. Osborn and his wife Mary enjoyed traveling which led them to making Keystone Heights their home many years ago. Mr. Osborn was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church, Highway Patrol Auxiliary Troop “B” in Gainesville for eight years, N.R.A. and N.R.A. Golden Eagles. He was also a life member of A.M.A. (American Motorcycle Association), Telephone Pioneers and United Sportsman of Florida. Mr. Osborn is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Mary (Silcox) Osborn of Keystone Heights; three aunts; four nieces and nephew in-laws; 18 great nieces and nephew in-laws and four great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Osborn will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 1, 2022, in the First United Methodist Church of Starke with Pastor Mike Moore officiating. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately at Eliam Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial gift to the charity of your choice may be made.
