Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home & Crematory has been family owned and operated since 1921 with locations in Starke and Keystone Heights serving Bradford, Clay, Union, Putnam, Alachua and surrounding areas. Both locations have off street parking and feature large chapels that can be decorated to display your loved one’s life and passions.

Joe Gallagher, Owner/Funeral Director
Joe was a former partner of Blake Funeral Home in Chelmsford, MA for 21 years, before relocating to Florida. He is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in Florida, Massachusetts as well as Pennsylvania. Active in the community, Joe’s civic involvement includes membership of the Starke Rotary Club, North Central Florida Chamber of Commerce, Clay County Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of Sacred Heart Church in Fleming Island. Joe is also a former board member of the Bradford Education Foundation. Joe has three children Kaitlin Wayant, Lindsay Gray APRN, Ryan Gallagher and a four grandchildren Rory, Clare, Michael, and Brooklyn and longtime girlfriend Charlene Tompkins Garra.

Laura Crews, Office Manager
Laura is a native of Clearwater and has been with Jones-Gallagher since 1999. She is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Starke, where she previously served on board of trustee’s and as trustee chairperson. Laura and her husband, James, have resided in Starke for over 37 years. The couple has one son, Matthew. In her spare time, Laura enjoys vegetable gardening, home canning, sewing and going to church.

Justin J Goodson, Funeral Director and Embalmer
We were pleased that Justin Goodson decided to join our team in early December, 2022. He was born and raised in Lake City, Florida, where he graduated from CHS. Justin knew early in life he would be a dedicated professional to the funeral industry, thus his decision to attend Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science (Atlanta, GA) , where he graduated in 2008. Justin favors the challenges of the business and all the opportunity to grow, both personally and professionally, Justin and his lovely family still reside in Lake City, where they enjoy doing anything outdoors, from swimming to to all sports and camaraderie.
